Union Pay

Union Pay, known previously as China Union Pay or CUP, is a scheme, or a brand, like MasterCard or Visa. Union Pay is the preferred method of payment for Chinese visitors travelling to New Zealand, and with the total number of cards being issued throughout the world, Union Pay is now the second biggest card brand globally.

Statistics are showing that the number of Chinese visitors to New Zealand is continuing to increase, and merchants in New Zealand have the ability to accept Union Pay transactions to provide an alternate acceptance method to their overseas customers.
